I Think Many of You Will Be Happy

The offer that I extended to Erica Podgorni was time-limited. I gave her two weeks to take me up on it. I texted the link to her phone the day I published the offer. I texted the same link to her husband.

The offer expired at noon today.

With no reply, lawsuit it is.

You can’t say I didn’t try to avoid this. I gave Erica the chance to do the honorable thing and say she got it wrong, explain how she’s changed, have that km-by-yah moment, and move on.

Nope. Not interested.

So, I’m going to make a convincing case, in a court of law, that Erica defamed me when she, in two separate Facebook Groups—both of which discuss local issues and are largely read by residents (and some former residents) of Littleton, MA, the town where Erica and I both live—that she wrote words that defamed me. Of one of those groups, she is a moderator. In fact, if memory serves, she’s the group’s founder. Well, she defamed me there and, as the group’s moderator, failed to remove posts that supported her defamatory narrative with further defamation.

So where does it end?

With a lawsuit, which, I think, might be capable of being one of the “class-action” varieties.

To that end, if you (or someone you know) has been defamed by Erica Podgorni, you and I are in the same “class” of plaintiffs. You can have your defamation day in court (so to speak) as a member of this class: those purporting to have been defamed by Erica Podgorni.

The idea behind this “class” creation is to conserve precious court resources. Why have, let’s say, four “similarly situated plaintiffs” have four separate lawsuits if a class can be established.

Let me know if you want to be named as a plaintiff. It would be a real time saver for the court.
