Moving On and Counting Down: #7

TOP TEN POSTS ABOUT LITTLETON, MASSACHUSETTS

NUMBER SEVEN:

The fact that this post is the seventh most popular does not shock me.

What has taken me by surprise is the lack of outrage.

My research into the cannabis industry in town was extensive and supported by documentation, first-hand witness statements, and corroboration.

Had my posts been written by a reporter for the Spotlight Team at The Boston Globe, I suspect Littletonians would’ve made their voices heard, much as they did when they discovered that Littleton’s leadership and police knew of the eighty plus gun dealers who’d set up shop in Littleton and were operating “in a gray area” of the law.

But my posts were not written by the Spotlight Team. They were written by someone who’s been speaking truth to power for some time now, and those in power have done a very good job of ruining my reputation by asserting I lack trustworthiness.

This is a strategy ripped from the power-players’ handbook: the best way to silence a whistleblower is to tell anyone who will listen that what she says can’t be trusted.

If the power-brokers do this well enough, then people who have never even met the whistleblower will distrust/dislike/disdain her. This campaign of theirs has been years-long and largely successful.

Click HERE for an example of how very successful their punching-down efforts have been, and then ask yourself, “What if everything she wrote about cannabis in town is true?”

And if you’re willing to ask yourself that question, then isn’t it about time that someone calls in the Feds?
